Sloan-CThe Sloan Consortium’s 7th Annual Emerging Technologies for Online Learning International Symposium is April 9-11 so, throughout the month of April, we will be highlighting The Sloan-Consortium and all of the important work they contribute to the field of online education.

What is The Sloan Consortium?

The Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C) is the leading professional online learning society devoted to advancing quality e-Education learning into the mainstream of education through its community. Sloan-C is dedicated to providing access to high quality e-Education to individuals, institutions, professional societies and the corporate community. Originally funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Sloan-C is now a non-profit 501(c)(3), member-sustained organization.

How are Academic Partnerships and The Sloan Consortium related?

Academic Partnerships has established a strategic alliance with Sloan-C to provide their research-based practices and standards to AP partner faculty. Through the Faculty eCommons, AP partner faculty have access to tools such as practitioners’ documents, webinars and the interactive version to the Sloan-C Quality Scorecard to make their online education experience more effective. Academic Partnerships can assist your program through the use of the SLOAN Scorecard for the Administration of Online Programs. The Academic Partnerships Curriculum Support Services staff can consult with you on how to use the scorecard and detail how our services can help you meet Scorecard requirements.
