Academic Partnerships  congratulates Luke Dowden for his election to the WCET cooperative’s Steering Committee:

Luke Dowden, Director, Office of Distance and Electronic Learning, University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Previously Luke has served as Dean of Accelerated Learning at Bossier Parish Community College and Executive Director of the Center for Adult Learning in Louisiana (CALL). Luke is your Common Interest Group (CIG)  representative.

Dr. Dowden is a higher education professional with experience at the non-profit, community college and University levels. During his time at the Consortium for Education, Research and Technology of North Louisiana (CERT), Dr. Dowden discovered a true passion – creating access in post-secondary institutions for adult learners through innovative course, degree program, and service delivery.

The consistent opportunity he loves most about his jobs (currently have 2 roles at a University level and at the state level) is the chance to meet new people, identify their talents, and use those to build a better system of higher education.
