Course Review Management System Enhancements

Academic Partnerships (AP) is pleased to announce that all subscribing partners of AP and Quality Matters (QM) will benefit from enhancements made to QM’s Course Review Management System (CRMS).

AP provided funding for software updates to streamline and allow for reporting across institutions on QM Specific Review Standards which will enable informed, data-driven decisions across programs.

Going forward AP partner program leaders can request on-demand, detailed reports for:

  • Specific Review Standards missed across all courses in a program or university
  • Essential standards missed across all courses in a program or university
  • Quality review scores across all programs or specific programs within specific durations
  • Data trends across courses

This exciting collaboration between QM and AP permits QM-subscribing partners to take advantage of the enhanced QM CRMS reporting features when working with AP’s Academic Service team.

As of Fall 2022, AP-provided Quality Review Reports mirror the QM CRMS formatting, as AP-certified Quality Reviewers now use the QM CRMS for all course reviews. We look forward to providing additional details to our partners about the enhanced QM CRMS.

Quality Matters (QM):  Quality Matters (QM) is the global organization leading quality assurance in online and innovative digital teaching and learning environments. It provides a scalable quality assurance system for online and blended learning used within and across organizations. When you see QM Certification Marks on courses or programs, it means they have met QM Course Design Standards or QM Program Review Criteria in a rigorous review process.

Course Review Management System (CRMS): The CRMS is a secure, automated, online tool used by QM Members to manage official and internal course reviews. It’s based on the QM Rubric(s) associated with membership and is used to evaluate or certify the design of online and blended courses. QM members use the CRMS throughout the course review process to collect, store and share course information with both the review team and the review’s sponsor. The CRMS tracks each review’s progress from initiation through completion.

Use of the Quality Matters Rubric and Annotations is restricted to institutions that subscribe to Quality Matters. Academic Partnerships is a subscriber as an “Academic Service Company” and as such has the right to use the rubric and annotations on behalf of its subscribing partners.
