An Inside Higher Ed survey found that roughly half of institutions represented do not offer students access to generative AI tools; cost is the most challenging barrier to granting access.
What We’ve Learned So Far From Tracking Student Visa Data – Inside Higher Ed
In the wake of increased attempts by the federal government to detain international students and revoke their visas, Inside Higher Ed has been tracking student Visa data and found that in the past month, more than 1,500 students from nearly 250 colleges have had a sudden or unexpected change in their Student and Exchange Visitor Information System listing or their visa status. The data indicates that the courts will likely have the final say on revocations.
In the escalating battle between the Trump administration and Harvard University, the IRS is looking into whether the university should lose its tax-exempt status for violating any of the requirements of charitable organizations, such as engaging in political activity. Such an outcome could cost the institution a great deal of money; taxing the earnings, for example, on Harvard’s $50-billion endowment at the current corporate tax rate of 21% could total some $800 million annually.

A report by CareerBuilder + Monster found that a large majority of graduates were confident about landing a job soon after graduation, though a large majority were also worried that their job prospects will be affected by the economy.
